Martindale, established in 1921, was a private country club in Auburn, Maine for it’s first 88 years, but is now semi-private with tee times available to the public. The club is under the new ownership team of James Day and PGA Professional, Nick Glicos. Since taking ownership of this historic course, many improvements have been completed to the Clubhouse and Golf Course with more planned. With a new fleet of state of the art golf carts, and one of Maine’s Only Certified Superintendents, Scott Cybulski, the golf course has never been better. The facilities have been modernized and the team of PGA Professionals on staff are ready to assist you. If you need lessons or help with your equipment, they are here to help with one of the best “Pro Shops” in the state of Maine.
“This course gives you a great mixture of different looks, from straight up the 1st to straight down the 9th. The greens roll true, but don’t be above them. You won’t see a green anywhere in the world like the 11th and then when you step to the 12th tee you will say, “Wow, I got to hit it straight here”. Two good shots on the 18th and you can leave with a birdie or eagle. You will be saying “What If” and will want to play it again. Little Pump (aka, Mike Williams) will know what you need to eat or drink on the 19th hole. That’s one shot you can’t get wrong.” – Mark Hall, PGA Professional.
